Bye bye phones..
It was my birthday..
I was expecting it to happen but not this soon. I couldn't let go yet. We've been together for so long already. On our third year anniversary, i parted with my 3-year old Nokia 8250 phone!
Hah! someone from the neighborhood stole it while it was resting peacefully by the window, looking for a Sun signal..
Before that happened, my sister was actually held-up on her way to my bday "party". According to her, 4 out of the 10 fx passengers were the hold-uppers. She was sitting at the back and while the "guy" was slashing her bag to get her phone, she can feel a knife pointed at her side. In front of her, the other woman's side was bleeding. All the passengers phones including some money were taken. She arrived at the CRL church crying..
I and my friends comforted her and just thanked that nothing bad happened to her. We then headed home for dinner. Since it was sort of a party, we slept late. My sister was about to call mom to tell her the news but i told her that she should do it the next morning since it was laready late. With that, we let my phone where it usually is.. by the window where there is a Sun signal!
Little we know that as we were having fun chatting and exchanging stories, someone from the neighborhood was eyeing on our phones. Ben slept earlier than us so he got his phone. Andres was charging his so he placed it by the table. Ian forgot to get his phone but since he thought that i was going to get it before i sleep, he didnt bother to get it.
Well, Don, Andres and I spent the night chatting.. And we forgot all about our phones. Anyways, we were near the window and we thought we can see if anyone comes near it. Andres was already asleep. It was at about 4AM when Don noticed that someone was outside, and Summer (the half-dog-half-pig pet) even barked. But i didn't hear the gate open or close so we thought that it was nothing. Unknowingly, and by the time we realized it, the sun was up and the two phones were gone (mine and Ian's). My sister was about to make the phone call. By the looks of it, someone grabbed them while sitting and hiding under the window grills..
But i was not bothered until Ben and Ian woke up cause i thought that maybe one of them made a joke on us and hid my phone. But no! the phones were really gone.. Ian's was actually ringing when Ben called it. Later, the phone stopped ringing, it was off.
The funny thing is, Ian and I are really looking forward to getting new phones. Both the two devices are old and need replacement. No refurbishment will do. The batteries are malfunctioning and the body parts are falling off. Mine especially, has been repaired several times.
However, it still feels sad to lose a phone. But it feels worse that we lost our Sun sims.. with unlimited and regular loads! Hay, we can now relate to what Ben felt when he lost his Nokia phone months ago.. And take note, same place, only different date and time.
Haha, walang kadala-dala! And with that, we are now saving for new devices.. kung hindi maka-save, we will apply for a Sun line. Dun sa mga wala pang regalo sa b-day ko, ok lang ang phone! :D
But for the meantime, you can contact me through Ben's phone. That's 0922-374-0704.
Until further notice, no forwarded messages please.. My service provider does not approve of it. Ha-ha!
