Repentance

Once in a desert, t'was a moonless night,
'was wandering alone, wondering why
People commit sin, don't do what's right,
Don't follow the light, just like me. Fie!
Walking, walking, then something happened
The whole place vanished; and I, too, disappeared.
Then alone stood Christ whose face was dampened
With tears, saying, "My child, that's what I feared."
"It's just a dream," my brain told me,
"Just wake up now, let come what may,"
But hearing words from our Lord Almighty
my heart rebutted, "I want to pray."
Then tears fell on my cheeks as I bent my knee
I hope He'll still accept me wholeheartedly...
